Only time she will be allowed to go tanning!

We were told that today we could take Ashlyn home. Unfortunately, when we got to the hospital first thing in the morning, we found out that her bilirubin level was high. Not alarmingly so, but because of her issue with hydrocephalus and recent surgery for the VP shunt placement, her doctors felt that she would benefit from going under the bili-lights for 24 hours to bring down her bilirubin level. So we are looking at one more day in the NICU. In the meantime, I am going to breastfeed and pump like crazy in order to get her to eat enough to start peeing and pooping more (which will also bring down her bilirubin level).
