Halloween Necklaces

Today's craft involved dying penne pasta with food coloring and stringing necklaces. We decided to be festive and used black and orange for Halloween. Once the pasta was dry, the kids counted out 13 noodles and strung them on black yarn (we found using a bobby pin or twist tie is a safe alternative to using a needle). The kids had fun, and it was an educational craft as the kids helped identify colors and count.

Halloween Door Decor

Why hello blog.....sorry I have been neglecting you (I only had a baby and all)! I have been busy this month discovering that I am in fact creative (with a little inspiration from friends and pinterest!).....so I am back to share my creations!

Today's craft was super easy and cute. I made a Halloween decoration out of used cds (goodbye hubby's old Nickleback cd!). All you need is cd/dvds, scrapbook paper, letters, ribbon and craft glue!

Score!

Teething necklaces at Babysteals! I cannot believe I have yet to try Baltic amber jewelry with Ashlyn. She isn't teething right now....but I think she will like a "pretty" to wear that is safe and nontoxic.

Braeden: Future Glue Eater

Yep, my little man is going to be the glue eater in kindergarten. This is how craft time with watercolors played out:

My little artist ready to paint!
Focused and actually being careful to not make a mess!
Discovered the water dish....
And could not resist a taste!

Mamarazzi strikes again....

It is quite an achievement when I am actually able to get a decent picture of both kiddos looking at the camera!

Take 1....

Take 2.....

Rawr!

Dinosaurs have invaded the Rochester Museum and Science Center! Braeden is a dino-freak and had a blast....so did daddy once B realized the dinosaurs weren't real and relaxed the death grip on his neck.

Mommy and Me

This was my attempt to get a nice picture of me and my mini-me. Awesome....
